Dear Martha Garcia thank you so much for the opportunity in letting me come to Passionate Wings and letting me pick out some beautiful clothes that I really needed. I've been homeless for almost 2 years and I started doing drugs because of me getting raped and bullied. I wasn't able to find everything I had hoped due to being pregnant, but I did find a tight light blue dress that makes me feel really good about my body so thank you. Martha Garcia, thank you for giving me the opportunity and getting an outfit and some shoes from your boutique. It definitely made me feel a little bit better about myself. I didn't have any sober support that was able to bring me any clothing or hand me downs. I personally lost my storage and I was living in my car and the things I had in my car I had lost all belongings when my car got impounded and from there I got left with nothing. When house of Hope let me know that Passionate wings is giving us an opportunity to get some clothing, it brought warm to my heart that there is support and an organization that will help us with clothing and hygiene. Dear Martha, thank you so much for letting me go to Passionate wings. I'm so beyond grateful and appreciative for your generosity. Very rarely has someone opened their arms and their heart to me the way you have. The last 14 years, or more than half of my life has been on the hateful adventure called addiction. Since becoming an addict, I've only seen and been treated poorly and like I was less than and not deserving things. I was even treated like that from my own father. I never felt like I was worth or deserving of good things. l've barely been living off the bare minimum, especially over the last seven years. I've been homeless. Days have gone by that I had to go without food, clothes, or essential necessities. I've become so used to having to go without for so long. That's such a kind act like yours made such a huge impression on me mentally and emotionally. I'm so beyond grateful, words can't even express exactly how much gratitude I feel towards you. You're such an amazing woman with a beautiful soul once again thank you so much with regards.
